Does teaching math feel like a guessing game?
With over 20 years of teaching experience, and four years as a math trainer, I understand how challenging it can be to reach every learner, especially when your class spans multiple grade levels. In my own Grade 5 classroom, I often taught students whose math understanding ranged from Grade 1 to Grade 8.
That’s why I created Melo Math: to make teaching math meaningful, accessible, and fun for every student.
My Math Journey
Math has always been part of my life, from playing card games and baking as a child to teaching and raising three kids.
My passion grew as I taught across Canada and abroad (China, Japan, and England). I quickly learned how language and confidence impact math success, especially for students learning in English and French.
